Remarks
Campbell intended to publish M. guttatus var. gracilis as a new combination and base it on M. luteus var. gracilis A. Gray (invalid). He cited 23 synonyms (including 6 varietal names) and the G. Thurber 498 specimen at GH as the lectotype.
