Remarks
With a belief that P. xylus Nelson (1902) was published as a sp. nov. and was based on “Mr. H. N. Wheeler at Sapinero, Colo., 1898”, N.H. Holmgren published his P. tusharensis as a nom. & stat. nov. for A. Gray's varietal name. Nelson, however, published his P. xylus as a nom. & stat. nov. for A. Gray's varietal name.
