Remarks
Ehrhart did not provide a diagnosis or description, and seemingly, the varietal name ‘Juncus campestris var. multifllorus’ is a nom. nud. and invalid. However, Ehrhart (pp. 5-6) mentioned that he gave epithets to Linnaeus’ Greek letters pertaining to unnamed varietal taxa treated with descriptions in Linnaeus, Fl. Suec., ed. 2. 1755. Ehrhart’s varietal name is based on the single variety of J. campestris (as var. β) found on p. 115 in Fl. Suec., ed. 2.
