Remarks

Eponymy: The name was chosen because it both honors the person (Bill Baker) who first introduced this to cultivation, and also J. G. Baker whose monumental work on the Asparagales (1875), though Disporopsis was not yet described, provided a solid foundation for future work on Polygonatum and other genera. (english)
