- V. L. Komarov edited volumes 1-13; later volumes were edited by B. K. Schischkin & E. Bobrov. In 1963 the Israel program for scientific publications began translation into English of this flora; the translation is publ. as Flora of the U.S.S.R. (Flora SSSR). The language of the original Flora is Russian, so the new species descriptions were validly published in Latin in addenda to the volumes.
