Remarks
Lindley, the publishing author, ascribed the name Hosackia and its validating description simultaneously to Bentham by ending the paragraph with Bentham MSS. (cf., Vienna Code Art. 46 Ex. 14). Protologue credits Douglas for coining the generic name Hosackia to honor David Hosack, a physician in New York.
