Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. illeg. nom. superfl. “Lotus nummularius Rchb. ex Steud., Nomencl. Bot., ed. 2. 2: 74. 1841” is an invalid name. Perhaps unaware of the invalidity of the preceding name, Dayton treated the name L. nummularius (M.E.Jones) Tidestr. (1927) as a later homonym and published L. nummulus as a new name.
