Remarks
Reference to the basionym indirect. Linnaeus (1759) published Damasonium Lingva 1330. On p. 475, Linnaeus stated that the species numbers in his 1759 work refer to species in Magnol's 1686 work, titled Botanicam Monspeliense. Although the species in Magnol's work are unnumbered, Rothmaler (Repert. Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 50: 77. 1941) counted the species and found that species no. 1330 referred to: Serapias lingua L.
