Sinclair proposed “Pseuduvaria rhytidophylla as a new combination and based it on Orophea rhytidophylla Diels (in J. Arnold Arb. 20: 74. 1939); he cited the type as Brass 6736. Diels (1939), however, had published O. rhytidocarpa (not O. rhytidophylla). Sinclair's epithet error is not correctable.
