Bauhinia porphyrotricha Harms var. killipiana J.F. Macbr., Publ. Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Bot. Ser. 13(3): 215. 1943. Type:—Peru, Klug 4289 (holotype F).” “Bauhinia porphyrotricha Harms var. killipiana J.F. Macbr” itself is a new combination based on B. Killipiana.
